 Wedding Ceremony

Designed only for the two of you

What is it?

There is no typical wedding ceremony. Every single one is designed from scratch after an initial conversation with the couple aiming to create a process unique for the two families coming together. Even if there are only two people present, on some level the whole ancestral field is participating in the ceremony, two lineages joining into one. Based on principles described below the ceremony aims to include all members of the family system even and especially those who are not present. The ceremony is a safe space where a couple is witnessed by their loved ones to create a new family, to claim responsibility for each other and to honour each other's stories. Ceremony supports the flow of love that connects all generations of a family together knowingly or unknowingly. There is a vast body of work around the idea of the orders of love - balancing principles that support love and health of any family system and all of it is included in creating your ceremony. Aleksandra has trained with the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants in wedding ceremonies and combines this with her knowledge and experience of family constellations, ritual and shamanic work . Each ceremony she creates will  be unique and based on principles described below.

                                Background Principles

Two people, two families, two worlds

Everyone has a place - in some way and form we will make sure that all family members and ancestors are included into the ceremony.
Choosing each other you are choosing everyone and everything that went into the making of the chosen one - their family, their past, their beliefs - everything that made them who they are.

Love flows from generation to generation from the past to the future - some elements in the ceremony will represent gifts and blessings your ancestors have for you and for your future as a new family.

How does it work?

First you meet/skype/whatsapp with Aleksandra and you tell her what your dream is for your wedding ceremony and a little bit of your love story. Any details about the space, number of guests, location, intention etc.
She creates a first draft of a ceremony for you with necessary systemic steps and you talk about it together to see if you have any changes in mind. Sometimes some sentences won't feel possible in a live setting with family present there. Together you adjust the process until it feels right.
You have at least three conversations about the ceremony and its details. Aleksandra sends you the last draft in PDF and Word.
On the day, Aleksandra is there as early as possible to prepare and set up the space energetically.  The layout of the room is an integral part of the ceremony creating a safe sacred space and contributing to the overall spirit of the process.
She holds the space and conducts the ceremony step by step. It will include gifts and blessings from ancestors, healing sentences to both families, exchange of vows/heartfelt claiming of each other, setting a common intention for the life together and anything else that you would desire to see in it.
Ending and transitioning to the reception.
